They're creepy, kooky, mysterious, and spooky - and they're on stage at Highfield Theater! The Addams Family musical brings Charles Addams' beloved characters to life in a delightfully dare comedy filled with laughs, love, and a little macabre mayhem. When Wednesday Addams falls in love with a "normal" boy and invites his family to dinner the evening turns into hilarious clash of cultures, secrets, and skeletons in the closet or in the crypt! Featuring a lively score and plenty of heart, this show proves that every family is a little.....different. The whole family will love this classic!!!

Juror Art Vaughan has curated a collection of 50 photographs, from nearly 300 entries, for this year’s Juried Photography Exhibition. Join us at the opening reception to honor the exceptional talent on display. The subject matter varies widely, capturing moments in time for us to enjoy. "Still Life with Cat" by Athena Carey is this year's Best in Show. This stunning piece will be awarded alongside four Juror Awards during the evening's festivities.
The Opening Reception for this show is scheduled for Friday, May 8, from 5:00-7:00pm. This reception is also for two additional shows Celebrating Falmouth Ponds in the Landrau-Partan Gallery, and Views of the World: Paintings by Jim Weinberg in the Sigel Gallery.

Yoga with Chelsea, Wednesdays starting May 6, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Chelsea’s class is gentle and appropriate for beginners. At the same time, almost everyone will find challenge in it, since we work with a range of skills: balance, strength, mobility, coordination, mental focus, and the skill of relaxing. Yoga is great at finding those neglected or hurting parts of our bodies and coaxing them into more freedom of movement, ease, and grace.
Classes include brief periods of quiet meditation, movement in and out of yoga poses, movement explorations influenced by various somatic traditions besides yoga, and there is always a period of quiet resting at the end of class, for a chance to enjoy all the benefits. After class, students tend to feel lighter, looser, and more clear-headed and connected.
Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. If you don’t, there will be several to borrow. Other props you might have, such as blocks, are helpful to bring as well.

WOODS HOLE, MA –– This May, in person and amidst other humans, we explore the question: What can you learn about a person from the things they accidentally leave behind?
For 25 years, FOUND Magazine has been collecting the scraps of everyday life people drop into the world: crumpled love letters, grocery lists, angry notes taped to apartment doors, strange doodles, lost photos, heartfelt apologies, baffling reminders. Artifacts of ordinary life.
Transom Story Lab invites you to a live show in celebration of FOUND Magazine's 25th anniversary, where FOUND creator Davy Rothbart will share some of the funniest, strangest, and most unexpectedly moving discoveries from the archive, while his brother, musician Peter Rothbart, performs songs inspired by the finds.
“Laughing with others in joy and appreciation for the quirkiness of our lives and the things we say, do, and discard is good for the soul,” said Sophie Crane, Transom Story Lab’s Executive Director. “Being in a room with others while doing that is good for the heart.”
Come enjoy this storytelling show, group eavesdropping session, and celebration of the weird poetry and chaos of everyday life on Wednesday, May 6, from 7–9 PM at the Woods Hole Community Hall, 68 Water Street. FOUND Magazine Celebrates 25th Anniversary Live in Woods Hole

Artwork by Philip Dutra will be displayed at The Gallery at FCTV from May 4 through May 29. A reception with the artist will be held on Sunday, May 17th, from 3-5pm.
Raised on Cape Cod, Philip Dutra draws on a lifetime of coastal experience to create paintings that emphasize clarity, restraint, and the natural beauty of the sea. Before committing fully to art, he worked in the boating industry, an experience that deepened his understanding of water, movement, and light—elements that now define his work. His background in architectural engineering also informs his sense of structure and composition.
Dutra’s paintings reflect a lifelong connection to the shoreline. Having spent decades immersed in the coastal environment, he finds continual inspiration in its shifting colors and moods. His approach centers on simplifying complex scenes, allowing essential forms and atmosphere to emerge without excess detail.
For Dutra, art is both personal expression and a way to evoke shared memories. He aims to create work that resonates emotionally while maintaining technical discipline. When faced with creative challenges, he steps away, often turning to quiet reflection or movement to regain perspective.
He believes artistic growth comes from persistence, observation, and a willingness to learn through process. The coast remains both his subject and his refuge—a constant source of inspiration that continues to shape his work and vision.
The Gallery at FCTV is located within the Falmouth Community Media Center, which is at 310E Dillingham Ave., easily accessible by Rose Morin Lane. FCTV and Gallery Hours: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu: 10-8pm, Fri: 10am-6pm. Sat: Closed, Sun: 12-8pm.

Talk #4 Speaking of ART! Series: The Black Potters of Old Edgefield, South CarolinaTalk by Adrienne Spinozzi,of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC
May 7, 4pm at the Falmouth Art Center.
Adrienne Spinozzi will speak on the history of enslaved potters in the Old Edgefield District, a rural region on the western edge of South Carolina renowned for its rich natural clays. For roughly fifty years prior to emancipation and the end of the Civil War, Black potters in Old Edgefield produced stoneware storage vessels that were sold to neighboring plantations. Celebrated today for their beauty and technical mastery, these objects were nonetheless created under conditions of duress. Enslaved African Americans carried out all aspects of this demanding, labor-intensive industry.

The facility features a large, secure outdoor play area with age-appropriate equipment. Children spend plenty of time outdoors, engaging in physical play and exploring nature. There may also be gardening activities. The building is designed with child safety in mind, featuring soft corners, non-toxic materials, and secure fencing around outdoor areas. Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The classrooms and play areas are spotless, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through large windows. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. Melissa Anderson and Leigh-Ellen Ferreira are two Falmouth natives who have spent many years working with children.
