"Celebrate Art" - Falmouth Public Schools Art Show - Grades K-6

Art students from the Falmouth Public Schools will display their creative works at the Maser Gallery at Falmouth Community Television during the month of March. The art show entitled, “Celebrate Art” is presented during Youth Art Month, a national celebration to emphasize the value of art education for all children and to encourage support for quality school art programs in Falmouth Public Schools.

The work that will be on display is a collection of various media, techniques, and themes by students from kindergarten through grade six. Please come to Maser Gallery for the closing reception on Thursday, March 28th 2013 from 4:00-5:00 pm to view the art work, meet the Falmouth art teachers, and enjoy some refreshments.

The mission of the Falmouth Art Department is to teach critical thinking skills, encourage creative problem solving, develop positive self-esteem, and promote self-discipline and motivation. All of these skills are vital to the success of our future leaders-our children of Falmouth.

A critical part of the sequential art program is to provide students with instruction from elementary school through high school so students can develop their skills in creating, revising, exhibiting, and assessing their work.
