The Cultural Survival Bazaar is a free festival of Native Arts and Culture from around the world supporting Indigenous artisans, performers, and a variety of projects in their communities.
Each Bazaar features Indigenous artisans and performers; handmade and fair trade products; ethnic foods; educational presentations, short films, and displays; as well as opportunities to get involved with Cultural Survival, partnering with Indigenous Peoples to defend their lands, languages, and cultures.
Enjoy a festive atmosphere, meet artisans, fair traders, view craft making demonstrations, enjoy Native American storytelling by performer/artisan Leonard Four Hawks (Mohawk and Cheyenne), guest talks, and live music performances by Native performers including Quichua band Yarina from Ecuador, performances by the Wampanoag Nation Singers and Dancers, Nipmuck Flute Maker Hawk Henries, and special guest artisans from all over the world including Wixarika (Huichol) yarn painter Cilau Valadez, Shona wire and bead artist Benard Domingo from Zimbabwe, Algonquin/Abenaqui artistLenny Novak, Mik’maq, Malecite, Blackfoot artisan Rosanne Menard, Hmong embroidery artisan Chia Yang Khang, and Nipmuck Birch-Bark artisan Sierra Henries.
