Falmouth Massachusetts Wind Turbine Scam
Falmouth wind turbines are bigger than a Bernie Madoff -Ponzi Scheme, Enron or subprime mortgages. Let's just call it lying by omission.

Wind turbines do not generate electricity on any commercially competitive level. The only reason that wind turbines can survive is through government subsidy, which is stolen from you the taxpayer.
The Falmouth wind turbines are a scheme promoted as a way to siphon funds from those taxpayers into the pockets of wind turbine manufacturers and multiple law firms.
The Town of Falmouth prior to installing wind turbines hid documents from the public. They hid a warning letter, noise map, emails, memos and failed to file Special Permit 240-166 because it would require additional notification to the neighbors.

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center gave the Town of Falmouth one million dollars to take Falmouth Wind I from them and now the Falmouth taxpayers are paying a loan on the turbine? Where did the state agency get all the money to give Falmouth the one million and the money to buy the turbine in the first place? They got the money from you the taxpayers and now your paying for the turbine again through a loan. Your paying for it twice!
The Falmouth Town Meeting Members are approving up to $300,000.00 every six months for wind turbine litigation. The only ones making money are the same Beacon Hill law firms that helped install the turbines and now defending the turbines at your expense !

The Town of Falmouth agreed to a single judge in a Superior Court wind turbine appeal. The single Judge Moriarty agreed with the Falmouth Zoning Board of Appeals the turbines are a nuisance. The turbines have been shut down. The Friends of Falmouth Wind are appealing a court case in which the town agreed to a single judge and guess who is paying the tab again!
The idle turbines now reflect nothing more than a standing graveyard of reminders of politicians hiding documents to follow an agenda gone horribly wrong taking health and property rights.
Your politicians prior to the construction of the turbines had evidence that such “investments” had no chance whatever of returning a profit with them. Former acting Town Manager, Heather Harper: "We took on a huge risk and I think we were successful but we're a large community and I think we can take on that risk." Taxpayers lose again !
The Falmouth wind turbines are a catastrophic disaster complete with noise and vibration issues with short lifespan gearboxes. A gearbox failure resulting in a fire can result in launching giant 7-ton blades long distances. A deadly strike for anyone caught in the path.
Without a doubt, the biggest scam perpetrated against Falmouth taxpayers and consumers are the wind turbines. Senior citizens could have had an oceanfront resort type Senior Center with all the money that is still going into the turbines.
These turbines are the mother of all subsidy schemes, the turbines are shut down. Electricity is pouring into the turbines to provide heat, battery back up, computers, warning lights and everything else to maintain a power plant. The town is paying insurance and a maintenance company fees and a loan in which the state purchased the wind turbine in the first place.
On July 10, 2017 Susan Moran, the chairwoman of the Board of Selectmen, said: “It's time to put the matter behind us and move forward?” How did that work out ?
There are still at least three more lawsuits in the pipeline and the Town of Falmouth is about to hire a wind turbine consultant after spending $390,000.00 on WTOP-CBI negotiations in a 2012 year long negotiation that took 26 meetings.
