Falmouth Men Fled Crash In Stolen Kayaks, Car: Police

The pair, who crashed a pickup truck in Dennis, were seen paddling away in stolen kayaks and driving a stolen Honda Sunday afternoon.

FALMOUTH, MA – Two Falmouth men stole multiple vehicles in an attempt to flee a crash involving a stolen pickup truck, Dennis police said. The pair ran from Porter Lane around 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon after driving the truck off the road and onto the lawn of a home, hitting a fence, a rock and two trees.

The truck, which had "significant" damage to the front and passenger side, had been reported stolen in Falmouth, according to police. While officers searched for the men, a report came in that two people had stolen kayaks from a home on Wisteria Lane in West Dennis and were paddling across Kelley's Pond.

The men were also spotted running through a cemetery at the corner of Fisk Street and Pond Street. As police responded to the area, a homeowner on Seagull Lane reported his Honda Pilot stolen. Officers stopped the Honda on Rt. 6 West and arrested the two men inside.
