Falmouth Officials Misleading Again: Wind Turbine Consultant
Falmouth taxpayers who value intellectual honesty should not quietly be fleeced by such mendacity, even from their government officials.

At a January 2018 Falmouth Selectboard Meeting, the Falmouth Town Manager acting at the direction of the Selectboard announced the Town of Falmouth will hire a wind turbine consultant. The Town Manager stated that Falmouth Wind 2 has a possibility that it can be relocated by special permit from the planning board under the new zoning bylaw.
Again taxpayers and Town Meeting Members have to ask how many times can the Selectboard mislead or lie by omission.
In December of 2012 the Town of Falmouth was notified by the Federal Aviation Administration that the option of moving the wind turbines to another location in Falmouth was officially denied.

Politicians mislead voters because there's no one to stop them and because cynical Falmouth voters have come to believe that perhaps they should.
In 2012 the Town of Falmouth Select Board agreed to the Falmouth Wind Turbine Option Analysis Process (WTOP) to engage in an open, transparent, and collaborative exploration of the range of options for the long-term future of the town's two wind turbines – Wind I and Wind II.

The WTOP-CBI process costs including consultants in 2012 according to the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center was $390,000.00.
The town was not honest. The town withheld the Vestas August 2010 noise warning letter from the WTOP process.
Selectman Doug Jones was the liaison from the town to the WTOP-CBI process.
The Falmouth wind turbines are a bunco scheme of enormous consequence. Taxpayers who value intellectual honesty should not quietly be fleeced by such mendacity, even from their government officials.
Hiring a wind turbine consultant shows it's time to stop the insanity and take down the torturous wind turbines.
