Falmouth Shame On Board of Health Wind Turbine Hearing 5-24-2012

Shame on Falmouth town officials for hiding noise documents from this Board of Health meeting in 2012. Both elected and appointed.

At this hearing, the Town of Falmouth never disclosed they were in possession of a warning letter from 2010 that the turbines generate 110 decibels of noise.

Massachusetts towns prior to the Falmouth wind turbine installations had been warned of two distinct types of noise from wind turbines. They are "Regulatory Noise" measured in decibels and "Human Annoyance" known as low frequency or infra-sound.

The types of noise warnings were not in the Falmouth preliminary studies.

In addition Scientist Neil Kelley and his team in the mid-1980s thoroughly documented significant adverse health effects resulting from inaudible, very-low-frequency sound produced by a large wind turbine in Boone, N.C.

If your neighborhood is targeted for industrial-scale wind turbine development, you owe it to yourself to watch this video.

Shame on Falmouth and Massachusetts for allowing this to go on for years.

The DEP and DPH, much like the chairperson of this meeting, spun the problems with these turbines as unique.

The Town of Falmouth at the time of this meeting had maps, memos, emails, letters that showed the turbines are too close to residential homes. This is completely ridiculous as similar health effects are reported worldwide whenever these monstrosities are put too close to residential homes.
