The pattern of having respondents from Falmouth express the highest level of disagreement with the positive socioeconomic contributions of wind energy decreasing one's electric bill, providing financial benefits to the town, or creating jobs while expressing the highest level of agreement with the negative effects decreasing property values or harming the tourist industry in towns observed in the answers to the socioeconomic questions (Table 7).

While the majority (74%) of Hull respondents say they found out about their project during planning, more than half of Falmouth and Kingston respondents learned about the project during construction or during operation, but not prior to the groundbreaking. Asked about their sources of information, two-thirds of respondents from Falmouth indicated they learned from the media, compared to slightly more than a third from the Hull and Kingston respondents.

Despite the town of Falmouth efforts to supply adequate and timely information about the project, only one out of ten respondents said they learned from a town hall meeting or notice, and none from the town's energy committee, which was one of the main driving forces behind the decision for siting the turbines, compared to 37% of Hull respondents say they found out about the project in their town from an official source
