Falmouth Taxpayers Asked Cough Up Another $120,000.00 For Wind Turbines

Falmouth Town Meeting November 6, 2017 ARTICLE 3: To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a sum of money to supplement the FY 2018 Budget approved by Article 18 of the April 3, 2017, Annual Town Meeting, or do or take any other action on the matter. On request of the Board of Selectmen.
RECOMMENDATION (Finance Committee): That the Town vote to raise and appropriate the amount of $120,000 for the purpose of funding line 01-440-5212 (wastewater Department electricity). To be expended under the jurisdiction of the Town Manager.

Barnstable Superior Court Judge Cornelius Moriarty issued the order to shut down Falmouth’s Wind 1 and Wind 2 on June 21, 2017. The Massachusetts court judge agreed with the Falmouth Zoning Board the 110-decibel wind turbines are a nuisance.
