Falmouth Town Meeting 11/12/19 Article 14 -2.5 Million

ARTICLE 14:

To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a sum of money to initiate the process of disposition of the Wind Turbines which includes dismantling, relocation, engineering, permitting and other related costs, and to determine how the same shall be raised and by whom expended. Or do or take any other action on the matter. On request of the Board of Selectmen.

RECOMMENDATION (Finance Committee):

That the Town vote to transfer $2,500,000 from certified free cash for the purposes of this article. To be expended under the jurisdiction of the Town Manager.

EXPLANATION:
The Town is in the process of pursuing procurement for the potential relocation of the turbines, as directed by the Board of Selectmen.
This is an estimated cost for dismantling, and storing the turbines in anticipation of the results.
