Town Meeting Members have been told the wind turbine lawsuits are a slam dunk. Litigation continues after hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on Boston law firms.

Falmouth Town Meeting is November 6, 2017.

On October 18, 2018, members of "Friends of Falmouth Wind" presented a "Motion To Intervene" to the Town of Falmouth in the closed wind turbine lawsuit.

According to sources the spokesperson for the wind turbine "Motion To Intervene " spoke to the news media earlier that week and produced the documents to the media at 4:59 PM on October 18, 2017, the same day. The news media did nothing wrong accepting unsolicited news and reporting that news.

On October 19, 2017 the news media reported exactly what they had been given the previous day by the "Friends of Falmouth Wind." No input from the neighbors who live around the turbines ?

While there is no obligation to present every side in every piece, stories should be balanced and add context.

"Friends of Falmouth Wind" using the legal motion were able to present their side to the public through the news media which has not provided a remedy to the other side.

Most stories have at least two sides why did the residents living around the wind turbines or the Falmouth Zoning Board of Appeals get left out? For the wind turbine agenda?

By a long shot that still is not the end of the story but you never read this in the media :

The "Motion To Intervene " was incorrectly served to the Falmouth Zoning Board of Appeals and was reserved on October 30, 2017.

In addition, the Docket number on the first line of the legal document is wrong 2014-0003 should be 2014-00003. It may seem insignificant but is wrong on both the October 18 and October 30 issues of the motion.

It's not clear if the news media has reached out to the residents who live around the wind turbines for their comments.

Journalists must be independent voices; they should not act, formally or informally, on behalf of special interests whether political, corporate or cultural.

We should declare to our editors – or the audience – any of our political affiliations, financial arrangements or other personal information that might constitute a conflict of interest.

Falmouth Town Meeting Members need to be able to make informed decisions which include fair and balanced news.

Falmouth Town Meeting Members still are unaware of the noise warning letter of 110 decibels of noise, maps, memos and emails that showed the turbines never should have been built.

Time to lay the cards on the table. Time to stop the insanity.
