Falmouth Wind Turbine "Cult" Costing Taxpayers Millions
Massachusetts, Green ideology is a collection of beliefs and superstitions that have been elevated into a religious cult. Aka Ecofascism.

The green cult, especially the global warming branch, is much like Lysenkoism, a political campaign against genetics and science-based agriculture, in the former Soviet Union. It is an official scientific ideology that scientists are expected to support.
The scientists who refuse to support the global warming political agenda and there are many in Falmouth, Massachusetts – suffer the consequences.
The Town of Falmouth has fallen victim to Ecofascism. The Friends of Falmouth Wind are individuals
referred to as a small group of far-right individuals to gain influence within their own group to get taxpayers to pay for their political beliefs using the Massachusetts court system.

Falmouth is encountering significant ongoing expenses related to the removal of the two wind turbines from operations. This includes legal expenses related to bringing the lengthy litigation process to closure as well as remaining contractual obligations to the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and the Massachusetts Clean Water Trust. As this relates to wastewater plant operations, annual electricity costs (of $125,000+) have been included as part of normal plant operations going forward - a cost which had previously been fully covered by wind turbine operation

ARTICLE 19: To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a sum of money to pay for the Town’s obligation pursuant to the Mass CEC agreement relating to the Wind Turbines, to determine how the same shall be raised and by whom expended. Or do or take any other action on the matter. On request of the Board of Selectmen.
RECOMMENDATION (Finance Committee): That the Town vote to transfer the sum of $178,070 from certified free cash for the purposes of this article. Said funds to be expended under the jurisdiction of the Town Manager.
EXPLANATION: The Town of Falmouth received $1M in advance up-front costs from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center for costs associated with the operation of Wind 1. Since it was anticipated that Wind 1 would run 24/7, the Town was obligated to pay the Mass CEC $2,000,000 in renewable Energy Credits over a twenty-year period. The Town re-negotiated this contract and when it became apparent that Wind 1 would not run full time. In the new negotiated contract there was a provision that if the turbine was shut down by a court order, the Town would be relieved of this obligation. The $178,070 is the amount of RECs not generated between the time when the Wind 1 was shut down and when the court ruled to shut down the turbine permanently.
