Falmouth Turbine II Health Hazard ARRA Funds

Now-shut down Falmouth wind turbines should never have received ARRA loans and funds from the economic stimulus program.

Like kids at an ice cream counter, this politically-connected town filled their cone with soft-serve from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection loan program and then illegally dipped it into the vast vat of taxpayer funding made available through the economic stimulus program (the America Recovery and Reinvestment Act or ARRA).

The America Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds from 2009 should never have been loaned to the Town of Falmouth. The danger was known prior to construction the turbines emit 110 decibels of noise each affecting up to 200 residential homes. The 2005 KEMA Inc study done for the town made it clear the danger of installing these foreign-made turbines prior to the loan.

The Town of Falmouth after years of omitting negative documents showing the wind turbines should never have been built are going forward again borrowing 2.5 million dollars to move the town-owned second wind turbine financed with ARRA funds that took the health and safety of the residential homeowners.

The terms of the 5 million ARRA loan require it to be paid back with interest at 2 percent if the turbine stops producing energy. The courts shut down the antiquated turbines in 2017.

Corrupt Massachusetts state officials are ignoring the federal regulations to pay back the 5 million dollar loan.
