The Falmouth wind turbines are a perfect example of Beacon Hill "Quid Pro Quo.' Falmouth local officials took one million dollars up front and failed due diligence on purpose knowing in advance the turbines were too loud. In exchange the state sold turbines to Falmouth that everyone in the state refused and could not be sold at auction.
The state had warned the turbines make two distinct types of noise one measured in decibels and the other human annoyance or what is called infra sound . The Vestas V 82 turbines generate 110 decibels of noise. These facts were known prior to construction in which KEMA Inc warned Special Permit 240-166 had to be filed to notify near by residents.
Falmouth taxpayers will continue taking a financial beating until further notice until the turbines are shut down.
