Massachusetts Wind Turbine Refugee Camps
Massachusetts today has a growing population of commercial wind turbine refugees. The problem is only going to grow worse as the state continues its so called war on fossil fuels. A political agenda that originally called for 2000 megawatts of commercial wind turbine power by the year 2020.
In 1973 an oil shortage began when foreign countries refused to supply their products until 1974.The oil shortage caused long lines at the gas pumps and prices spiked. The oil shortage crippled the economy.

The US Department of Energy and NASA during the 1970s experimented with commercial wind turbines at Block Island, Rhode Island, Cuttyhunk Island, Massachusetts and Boone, North Carolina as a way to produce electric power.
By the 1980s the US Department of Energy and NASA confirmed through studies done by scientist Neil Kelly the experimental turbines caused problems with radio and television antenna reception and caused sleep problems with neighbors around the turbines. The neighbors described the noise as human annoyance. The federal government determined the noise causing the sleep problems is infra sound. The wind turbine experiments failed.

In 2005 the Massachusetts Technologic Collaborative today the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center in an effort to place two commercial Vestas V-82 commercial wind turbines in Massachusetts warned of two distinct types of noise from preliminary wind turbines in studies done statewide. Ultimately the warnings were dropped from a Falmouth preliminary acoustic noise study and Falmouth residents accepted the turbines.
The state in a quid pro quo agreement gave Falmouth town officials (quid) one million up front to (quo) ignored the health effects of the turbines. Warnings of two distinct types of noise dropped from studies.
In 2005 the Massachusetts Democratic Party Platform called for an all out war on fossil fuels using commercial wind turbines as their weapon of choice.
By 2010 the first commercial megawatt turbines were placed close to residential property locations in Falmouth, Massachusetts and subsequently twenty-one other communities.
Documents today reveal through the FOIA , Freedom of Information Act, that Massachusetts state and local officials including the semi quasi state agency responsible for placing the commercial land based wind turbines knew through, maps, emails, letters, prior studies done 40 years ago the turbines cause sleep disturbances. Neighbors describe the noise as torture from lack of sleep affecting their health and unable to work in their yards while the turbines operate.
Falmouth, Massachusetts wind turbines today provide a revenue stream to large Beacon Hill law firms and have no financial benefit to taxpayers that also took the health of neighbors.
Massachusetts officials have acknowledged the noise problem in multiple communities and for over ten years have refused to enact any type of new noise regulations over infra-sound. The result is the beginning of a state wide refugee program. Massachusetts citizens are being forced to escape their homes because of a wind turbine renewable energy agenda gone horribly wrong.
Massachusetts politicians in an effort to place ocean wind turbines have recently warned of dire consequences from global climate change in which rising water levels will cause ocean front home owners to leave their homes creating a refugee problem right here in Massachusetts. The real problem is state and local officials have already created a refugee crisis with the land based wind turbine health fiasco.
So what does the future hold ? Let's go full circle back to Block Island, Rhode Island during the 1970s wind turbine experiments in which human annoyance, television and radio interference took place. Today we know the human annoyance is infra sound but what just happened in 2017 with ocean wind turbines should set off alarm bells in anyone who has the ability to think.
The five ocean wind turbines of Block Island, Rhode Island supplying power to the island equals a cost of $150,000.00 per house.History repeats itself only this time a financial fiasco on Block Island.
If you think the Block Island is a bad deal look what happened in New Bedford, Massachusetts.
Massachusetts is heavily in debt today bonding wind turbine ocean wind projects like the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal an ocean wind turbine port. The project started out at 35 million today stands at 113 million with an unresolved 23 million dollar lawsuit against it. The port has been called complete with no large walking cranes, no rail link, an opening at the hurricane barrier with only a legal opening of 120 feet and still needs dredging five miles out to sea. Taxpayers are paying current bond payments of $187,500.00 a month for 30 years on just this one example of a commercial wind turbine fiasco.
The ocean wind turbine projects in Massachusetts will only result in more refugees.
Ocean wind turbines cost twice as much as land based wind turbines because the electric service platforms and connecting cables costs as much as the turbines themselves.
Who is going to pay for this in the long run we all know it's the electric ratepayers.
The Massachusetts electric ratepayers are ignoring what has happened around the world with commercial ocean wind projects. The electric rate monthly bills have become as high as a second mortgage on residential homes and forced business to move.
Massachusetts politicians claim the wind turbine renewable energy agenda will prevent a refugee crisis from rising ocean water but have already caused a refugee crisis over health with land based wind turbines and the future only looks to throw residents from their homes with massive electric rate hikes equivalent to a second loan on you home that never ends.
Massachusetts has to clean up the land based wind turbine health fiasco before making an ocean wind turbine financial fiasco.
Massachusetts politicians have already started a renewable energy wind turbine refugee crisis over the poor placement of land based wind turbines and now a financial crisis with ocean wind turbines.
