Officials Predict 50% Falmouth Turnout For Presidential Primary
The Falmouth Town Clerk said just 1,600 people participated in early voting, but he predicts around 50 percent turnout for Super Tuesday.

FALMOUTH, MA — Voter turnout during early voting before the Massachusetts was light, according to Town Clerk Michael Palmer. But he expects voter turnout on Super Tuesday to be around 50 percent.
Falmouth had about 1,600 residents cast an early ballot, which is 6.4 percent of the town's registered voters. Palmer said he didn't really expectations for early turnout because this was the first presidential primary to have it and because the early voting period was longer during last year's general election.
"It was light, but it was a shorter period of time," Palmer told Patch. "With it being new, I have nothing to really gauge against ... I thought it was pretty steady, and we had about 300 ballots per day ... We very rarely had lines going out of the room. Our staff handled it fantastically."
