Falmouth , Massachusetts 40 years later : Falmouth has become ground zero for poorly placed wind turbines in the United States. Up to 200 residents in Falmouth, MA are reporting health issues allegedly caused by an unconventional source: their town's wind turbines larger than those in Boone, North Carolina

What the state of Massachusetts has done to the residents of Falmouth was intentional

In the 1980s NASA and the US Department of Energy conducted wind turbine experiments around the country .

Experiment : Boone,North Carolina 1985 the wind turbines frequencies cause headaches, ringing in her ears, insomnia and dizziness.

Boone, North Carolina : residents in a NASA wind turbine experiment complained of a nuisance noise from the turbine. That noise frequencies were determined to be wind turbine infra sound.

Nearby residents were annoyed by the low-frequency, acoustic impulses propagated into the structures in which the complainants lived. The complaints were headaches, fatigue, temporary feelings of dizziness, nausea etc.

The annoyance was described as an intermittent "thumping" sound accompanied by vibrations.

In research supported by the US Department of Energy, Dr. Neil Kelly and his colleagues in 1987 identified impulsive low frequency noise. The wind turbine infra sound and vibration produced “ Human Annoyance “ within neighbors homes.

Introduction

In Japan, during the last ten years or so, there have been many complaints for the low frequency noise or infrasound
. Sometimes , these spectra include the audible frequencies, but the levels of dB(A) are not so large, then
the noise levels in dB(A) do not fit to evaluation of complaints .

In order to determine the frequency response of new type noise meter which evaluate low frequency noise , we have done some approach as follows;

1 ) According to the summarization of data , frequency and level range are determined.

2) The influence of low frequency noise for human life were devided into two categories ; structural response of house construction and psychological or physiological
effects on persons ., and frequency responses were determined by·fitting to those categories.
