Falmouth, Massachusetts is ground zero for poorly placed wind turbines in North America.
Falmouth, Massachusetts has faced up to eleven ongoing lawsuits over wind turbines. The town spends up to $440,000.00 every six months on litigation. This past month in November town meeting members approved another $260,000.00 in article 18 for another six months of litigation fees.
During the last November 15 , 2016 town meeting during discussion of article 18 town attorney Frank Duffy told town meeting members that conflicts in the Massachusetts Court System are causing delays in the wind turbine trials not the Town of Falmouth

In October of 2015 Diane Tillotson, a Boston lawyer who was hired as special counsel in wind turbine matters for the town failed to file paper work in which the appeal of a lawsuit involving the Falmouth Wind I turbine was stalled and stopped in its tracks. The courts did not cause this delay.

A number of families in Co Cork who were forced to leave their homes because of noise from a nearby wind farm have won a significant case in the High Court this week. ...A spokesperson for Wind Aware Ireland said: “There now is a possibility for multiple legal actions against wind farms right around the country."
