'Abad' Loss for the Red Sox
The Mariners rallied from a 4-0 deficit in the eighth inning. The Red Sox also lost Hanley Ramirez to an injury.

Fernando Abad's Red Sox debut didn't go quite as planned.
The lefthander, acquired with an eye toward neutralizing lefthanded power bats, allowed a three-run home run in the eighth inning to southpawed swinger Robinson Cano, the final blow in the Mariners' late rally in a 5-4 victory over Boston Tuesday night.
Hanley Ramirez jammed his left wrist stumbling down the dugout steps late in the game. He had earlier launched a mammoth home run.
