Cask 'n Flagon Celebrates Summer in Fenway

Corporate Chef Donely Liburd debuts menu additions

With the Red Sox and summer seasons in full swing, Corporate Chef Donley Liburd is debuting new menu items at Cask ‘n Flagon to highlight the best tastes of New England, his native Caribbean and beyond at this beloved Fenway landmark. Chef Liburd’s new menu additions exhibit his unique flair and will join signature Cask “game-day” fare – such as wings, burgers, sandwiches and pizzas – at Boston’s premier restaurant and sports bar. The Cask ‘n Flagon features a scratch kitchen that is 100% nut-free and most items can be modified to accommodate gluten-free guests.

For appetizers, Chef Liburd will dish out internationally-inspired creations such as Guacamole Dip (fresh avocado blended with scallions, onions, tomatoes, jalapeños, lime juice and cilantro served with pulled pork and tortilla chips - $11.99); Fried Shrimp (beer-battered, fried golden brown served buffalo, Szechuan or plain, with blue cheese or tartar sauce - $10.25); Tempura Fried Cauliflower (cauliflower nuggets breaded and fried, served with garlic aioli and Asian glaze - $10.25); and, P.E.I. Mussels (pan roasted with Harpoon IPA, andouille sausage, fresh corn, diced onions and tomatoes finished with fresh herbs and butter sauce - $12.99).

Fresh additions to the selection of salads include the Honey Mustard Salad (mixed greens, purple cabbage, diced tomato, wonton strips and carrots tossed in honey mustard dressing - $11.99) and a Grilled Chicken Salad (grilled chicken, pineapple, raisins, scallions, grapes, fresh cilantro and romaine lettuces served with avocado, tomato and cranberry bread - $14.99). For a sandwich, there is the decadent Lobster Roll (100% fresh lobster meat tossed in Cask’s lobster dressing with shredded lettuce on a toasted buttery brioche roll – MP).

From the grill, Chef Liburd’s Caribbean roots shine through in the Jerk Chicken (spicy marinated jerk chicken and sweet plantains, served with seasoned rice and a cucumber, tomato and arugula salad topped with raita - $16.99; pictured above); Grilled Swordfish (fresh swordfish filet grilled and served with cilantro & lime rice topped with coconut Cruzan rum pineapple salsa - $20.99); and, Bourbon Chicken (sautéed chicken in a bourbon glaze served with corn and roasted red peppers over rice - $15.25).

Chef Liburd’s fresh pasta and noodle lineup brings three new options that also are available gluten-free: Shrimp Scampi (sautéed shrimp, mushrooms, tomato, garlic, shallots and basil herb butter sauce served over linguini pasta - $21.99); Lo Mein (choice of shrimp or chicken sautéed with carrots, celery, onions, broccoli and bok choy served over fresh lo mein noodles tossed with stir fry sauce – shrimp: $16.99; chicken - $14.99); and, Blackened Chicken Pasta (blackened chicken, roasted red peppers, scallions, mushrooms, shallot and garlic sautéed in a parmesan cheese sauce with penne pasta - $15.25).
