ISLAND CREEK OYSTER BAR HOSTS TERRY THEISE FOR SECOND VINE MASTERS AUTHOR SERIES: JUNE 8, 2015

Island Creek Oyster Bar Wine Director and General Manager Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli continues his quarterly Vine Masters series on June 8th, in which authors in the beverage community co-host wine-centric dinners at the restaurant and discuss their celebrated work in the company of Boston’s many oenophiles. For the second installment of his series, Schlesinger-Guidelli welcomes Terry Theise, acclaimed importer and wine guru and author of, “Reading between the Wines.”

Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli has been the General Manager of Island Creek Oyster Bar since before it’s opening in October of 2010. Before that, he ran the bar program at Craigie on Main, following his tenure at Eastern Standard Kitchen & Drinks where he worked under bar manager and mentor, Jackson Cannon.

The series’ second installment will be co-hosted by Terry Theise, author of “Reading between the Wines,” an opinionated, idiosyncratic, and beautifully written testament to wine. In his highly approachable style, Theise describes how wine can be a portal to aesthetic, emotional, even mystical experience—and he frankly asserts that these experiences are most likely to be inspired by wines from artisan producers.
