Foxborough Asks For Help Clearing Snow From Fire Hydrants
The department asks that residents help by clearing the fire hydrant near their house in case of emergency.
FOXBOROUGH, MA — The town was buried in almost 16 inches of snow after Sunday night's storm. Residents spent the morning shoveling their driveways, but the fire department hopes you are willing to shovel a little more by helping to keep fire hydrants clear.
Accessing water is critical in the event of a fire, so the department asks that residents help by clearing a path from the street to the hydrant. The fire department said it needs at least a 3-foot perimeter around the fire hydrant to safely access it.
