Stephanie McGowan Elected To Foxborough Selectmen
Stephanie McGowan was elected to the Foxborough Selectmen, and Michelle Raymond is the newest member of the School Committee.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Foxborough voters chose Stephanie McGowan as the newest member of the Board of Selectmen and Michelle Raymond as the next member of the School Committee, according to unofficial results.
Voters resonated with McGowan's message of fiscal responsibility, who spent three years on the Advisory Committee, which plays a significant role in planning the town's annual budget.
"The single most pressing issue is how to be fiscally responsible, McGowan said in her candidate profile. " Trying to keep taxes in check while not sacrificing services so that all ages can afford to continue to live here. There needs to be a balance of spending and taxes. I will support smart economic growth while maintaining our town's character and identity."

Voting During the Coronavirus Pandemic
According to the town clerk's office, plenty of residents took advantage of mail-in voting out of an abundance of caution amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Patch asked residents what they thought of the mail-in process and every resident we talked to liked it and thought it was a simple process.
"I mailed my ballot in a couple of weeks ago,"Tim Kennealy said. "Easy and efficient. I wish we could always vote this way."
Marcia Svetkey, a Foxborough senior, said she downloaded an early ballot from the town website, and despite missing the mailing deadline, had no problem dropping off her ballot in the mail slot at Town Hall.
"I got a lot of great assistance on the process from Matt Mackenzie, administrative assistant, at town hall," Svetkey said. "I plan to do the same for the upcoming primary in September and for November's election, too."
Others that voted in person like Janet Pacitti, said voting at her precinct was easy and pleasant.
"Instead of all precincts voting at one gym, both gyms were utilized so that fewer people were in one place," Pacitti said. "There was one door to enter and a different door to exit. Workers were protected behind a plexiglass barrier and disposable pens were used. Quick, easy, safe."
