Waxy O'Conner's Permanently Shuts Down Foxborough Location

Waxy O'Connor's has taken matters into its own hand, announcing it will close for good. The popular Irish pub, which recently failed a restaurant inspection from Foxborough's health department, was scheduled to appear before the department next week, a meeting officials said was still on after the announcement. Toby Keith's Bar Blames Patriot Place For Closing

Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill at Patriot Place has shut down. The popular bar for live country music and Patriots games closed abruptly on Wednesday, and a representative from Toby Keith's argued that Patriot Place was to blame. Debbie Corvo owner and operator of Toby Keith's, told Patch the bar had to close because Patriot Place acted "very greedy," and had badly harmed their business. Read more here.

Craft Beer Pub An Early Favorite For New Foxborough Development

The proposal, which was submitted by Douglass A. King Builders Inc., of North Easton, was ranked as the committee's favorite of the three proposals it reviewed. If the King proposal is approved, the developers plan to partner with Shovel Town Brewery in Easton to build a second location with some of its own unique beers and food items exclusive to Foxborough. The developer's bid to buy the property came in at $405,000. Read more here.


Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Charged With Soliciting Prostitution

Patriots owner Robert Kraft has been charged with soliciting prostitution in Jupiter, Fla., authorities said during a stunning press conference Friday. Kraft is among at least 25 people charged. Read more here.


Video Game Lounge, E-Sports Complex Opening In Foxborough

Patriot Place is getting a new spot for video game enthusiast to play some games and see some of the world's best compete on the international stage. Kraft Sports and Entertainment has partnered with Helix eSports to open an 18,000 square-foot complex with more than 100 computers, 30 gaming consoles and high speed internet infrastructure. The center will also offer entertainment packages including food, beverage and private rooms. Read more here.
