Some of the ticket purchases over the past 24 hours make you wonder why these people don't just buy their own teams.

If you have yet to decide if you're going to the Super Bowl by now, odds are you'll watch it on television. But just in case you're waiting until the last second, you're in luck ... sort of.

StubHub had some 2,900 tickets available as of Thursday morning. The average price of the tickets sold to that point was $4,613, and 17 percent of those tickets have been bought by people from Massachusetts, the ticket resale network said. Twelve percent of the ticket sales came from California.

The "get-in" price on StubHub - which is the cheapest ticket available - as of noon Thursday was $2,786.86, including fees. That's for the 18th row of the upper corner.

The most expensive ticket on StubHub, not including suites, was going for $133,644.19 - and that was for the 43d row of the lower corner. Yeesh.

One fan spent $6o,646 for four seats on the 50-yard line (on the Rams side, though,) while someone this morning spent $36,395 on just two tickets on the 50, according to sports business reporter Darren Rovell.

There was worry ticket sales would be slow this year due to "Patriots fatigue" - that is, the continued presence of New England in the Super Bowl. Also, the Rams have only been in Los Angeles for three seasons, and there was a fear the Southern California region hasn't bonded enough with the team to travel to Atlanta for a game.
