He succeeds Jennifer Pratt, who left the role on Dec. 31, 2025. Since that time, Chief Operating Officer Michael Tusino has been acting CFO.

Turbitt will make an annual salary of $250,000.

He previously served for more than a decade as municipal finance director with the town of Nantucket, overseeing a $190 million budget. He’s also worked for the town of Millbury, near Worcester, and held accounting positions with several private companies.

Turbitt earned degrees in accounting and business management in 1994 from Norwich University, in Vermont, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Sisitsky began a second term in January. He's the sole mayor to win a second term since Framingham adopted a city charter in 2018. Sisitsky previously served as a town selectman for 20 years.

He described Turbitt in the statement by saying, “His experience in financial forecasting, capital planning and insuring public trust will be a tremendous asset as we continue to ensure Framingham’s long-term financial stability.”

Turbitt added, “I am honored to join the city of Framingham as chief financial officer.

“I look forward to working collaboratively with the mayor, city council and staff to strengthen financial operations, support strategic priorities and serve the residents of Framingham.”
