Chick Fil-A Framingham Gives Back to Local Community

Owners and staff from Chick Fil-A in Framingham donate their time to feed hungry neighbors

Jamie Hughes and her husband Mark Parker, Owner of Chick Fil A in Framingham and their dedicated staff spent their morning preparing food, but not at their restaurant. The staff, joined more than 50 volunteers at the United Way of Tri-County's Pearl Street Cupboard and Cafe on Tuesday to distribute a turkey and all the fixings to pantry clients, just in time for Thanksgiving. Chick Fil A Framingham began supporting the United Way's hunger relief efforts as soon as they opened last Februrary by providing breakfast sandwiches to participants at two United Way Fundraisers, of the United Way/UPS Golf Tournament in May and again to Runners at the United Way 5K on October 15th.

Approximately 700 families received up to seven bags of groceries including a turkey, potatoes, stuffing, fresh seasonal vegetables, fruit, eggs, chees and apple pie to take home and prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal for their familiy and friends.

Interested in helping to Feed A Family this holiday? Donations can be made through December 31st by visiting the United Way's website at www.uwotc.org/feedafamily / Texting the word Feed to 91999 / or by mailing a check the old fashioned way to the United Way of Tri-County, 46 Park Street, Framingham, MA 01702, with the word Feed A Family in the memo line.
