FRAMINGHAM, MA — Even with the year winding down ahead of Christmas and New Year's, local social service groups are still going strong.

If you need food or other household items around the Christmas holiday, there are several key resources open this week — including Christmas Eve — and over the weekend. Here's where to find help in the area this week, according to the city of Framingham:

Dec. 23

  • All public schools in Framingham — Free grab-and-go breakfast and lunch for students, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Daniel's Table, Jewish Family Services, 169 Leland St. — Groceries and toiletries, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • YMCA, 280 Old Connecticut Path — Grab-and-go meals for anyone under 18, 3:30 to 5 p.m.
  • Daniel's Table, 10 Pearl St. — Grocery pickup, 4 to 6 p.m.

Dec. 24
