• Fifth Member Position: Framingham Retirement Board (mass.gov) — Framingham's Retirement Board is seeking applicants for its unpaid Fifth Member seat, with a three-year term starting January 16, 2027. Local residents who meet strict ethics and eligibility rules must apply by November 16, 2026, and be available for a December 15 interview and ongoing monthly meetings plus required training.
   

• Nick Durate leads Framingham to first win of the season in close game over Braintree (masslive.com) — Framingham High's football team just earned its first win of the season, riding senior Nick Durate's five-touchdown performance to a 36-27 road victory over Braintree. The Flyers, now 1-2, showed major improvement in executing assignments and will try to build on this momentum when they travel to Newton North for another Bay State Conference matchup next Friday.
   

• Alleged lottery ticket thief in Sudbury MA skips court. What's next (metrowestdailynews.com) — A Marlborough man accused of stealing thousands in lottery scratch tickets from Sudbury's Stony Brook Market missed a pretrial hearing at Framingham District Court, prompting a warrant for his arrest. If picked up elsewhere, he'll be held without bail until returning to Framingham District Court, where he faces a felony larceny charge tied to alleged $10,000–$40,000 losses.
