City of Framingham Accepting Applications for License Commission

FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham is accepting applicants for the Board of Licensing Commissioners for one vacancy with a term ending in June 2024.

The 5-member Board, appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by the City Council, is responsible for granting alcoholic beverage licenses, in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, and other City licenses.

To be eligible for the position of Commissioner, candidates are required to be residents of Framingham, registered voters, and able to pass a background check.

No person while a member of the Board of License Commissioners shall have any financial interest, direct or indirect, in the sale or distribution of alcoholic beverages in any form within the City of Framingham.

The Mayor shall appoint the chair and the vice chair. The current chair is Stuart Pologe.
