FRAMINGHAM, MA — The number of Framingham residents who have tested positive for the new coronavirus, COVID-19, now stands at seven after officials reported three new cases on Friday afternoon.

The fourth positive COVID-19 case was reported on Wednesday and involved a local resident who had recently traveled to Europe. Two other cases are in the same household, and another had no connection to any known COVID-19 infections.

Officials did not say whether the three new cases reported Friday had any connection to the other four. Here's where the local case count stands:

  • Wayland — 3 (includes two restaurants workers who tested positive
  • Natick — 2
  • Sudbury — 1
  • Marlborough — 1

Massachusetts had a total of 328 cases, according to state figures released Thursday afternoon.
