Framingham Adds 27 New Coronavirus Cases, 1 Death
The Aug. 31 report showed the biggest rise in cases in Framingham since early June.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham added 27 new coronavirus cases over the weekend, which is one of the largest increases over a weekend in recent months.
The 27 new cases — and one new death — brought the city's active case total to 104. Framingham has reported more than 20 new cases on each of the recent reporting days last Monday, Wednesday and Friday. That brings the one-week rise since Aug. 22 to 88.
Framingham began releasing coronavirus cases three times per week in mid-June after several months of reporting daily figures. Since that June switch, the 27 reported on Monday was the highest of any report.
