Framingham District 9 Race Confirmed After Official Results Released

Official results in the District 9 primary race are now available, confirming the race between Tracey Bryant and Jose Ferrira.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The city's District 9 City Council race has been officially confirmed after certified results were released from this month's preliminary race.

No results changed from the unofficial results to the official results, perhaps a byproduct of the diminutive turnout. Only 62 of the city's 3,000 registered voters in Precints 1, 2 and 3 participated in the preliminary.

The highest vote-getter, incumbent Tracey Bryant, garnered the highest total with just 40 votes. Jose Ferreira, who gained the second highest votes after announcing that he had stopped campaigning and essentially proclaimed that he didn't want the seat, collected only 16 votes.
