Framingham Inauguration Day Set

City Councilors, School Committee members and library and cemetery trustees will be sworn in on New Year's Day.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Memorial Building offices will close today, December 29, at 12:30 p.m. Offices will re-open on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, after the New Year’s Day holiday. The City of Framingham will hold its Inauguration on January 1, as required by the City charter. The ceremony will be at 2 p.m. in Nevins Hall in the Memorial Building.

Scheduled to be sworn in are 11 City Councilors, 9 School Committee members, 6 Library Trustees and 2 Cemetery Trustees.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony.

There will be no trash collection on Monday, January 1, 2024. DPW will be on a one-day delayed schedule for curbside collection for the rest of that week.
