Mayor Seeking Applicants for the MetroWest Health Foundation Grants Panel

FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham is seeking applicants for the MetroWest Health Foundation’s Framingham Union Grants Panel.

The Framingham Union Grants Panel oversees the distribution of certain restricted funds of the MetroWest Health Foundation which may, but need not be, exclusively focused on the needs of the Framingham community.

Framingham Union Grants Panel Members shall be Framingham residents that possess the skills and experience that contribute to the purpose and mission of the Panel and Foundation.

The Mayor can nominate two Framingham residents to the Panel.

Individuals nominated must then be approved by the MetroWest Health Foundation’s Board of Directors.

The Panel shall have a diversity of exposure and interests so as to reflect the broad interests of the Framingham community. No Panel member shall represent any particular group or special interests except only the broad interests of the Framingham community.

Applicants should have an open mind, willing to listen to pro and con discussion for each grant proposal.

Applicants should be knowledgeable about the City of Framingham and issues faced by residents.

Applicants who have expertise in health care or health issues are preferred.
