Framingham Police To Talk Fentanyl Crisis This Week
The police department will make a presentation on the crisis at a Thursday Police Advisory Committee Meeting.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — At the January Zoom meeting of the Police Advisory Committee, Framingham Police will share a presentation on the presence of Fentanyl in the community.
Fentanyl overdose deaths across the country increased by 279% between 2016 and 2021, making it the largest source of overdose deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Fentanyl is present in Framingham, and the session is intended to inform the Committee and the community about the dangers of Fentanyl, and what the Department is doing to combat this crisis.

The presentation will take place as part of the Police Advisory Committee's monthly meeting, which will be held on Thursday, January 11 at 7 p.m.
