Framingham State Resource Center Gets $500 Donation
The money will be used to purchase food and supplies for students facing food insecurity.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham State University has been awarded a $500 grant from the Foundation for MetroWest’s Hunger Relief Fund to support the Rams Resource Center, which provides free food and toiletries to FSU students in need.
“We are grateful to the Foundation for MetroWest for their support of the Rams Resource Center,” says FSU President F. Javier Cevallos. “The sad reality is that more and more students around the country are dealing with food insecurity and it’s important for the University to be able to provide this sort of resource.”
The Rams Resource Center opened in October 2018. At its launch, the center was
stocked with 1,500 pounds of food and 232 personal hygiene items. It is staffed
primarily by volunteers throughout the school year.
