Framingham Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway To Benefit 150 Families
Jewish Family Services of MetroWest will hold its annual Thanksgiving giveaway on Tuesday.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — An annual Thanksgiving tradition will go on as planned this year in Framingham: Jewish Family Services of MetroWest will hold its annual dinner giveaway on Tuesday afternoon.
About 150 families from the Framingham area will get meal packages including turkey, produce, pantry staples and pie. The giveaway will take place at Daniel's Table in downtown Framingham.
This year's giveaway is larger than in 2019, when 125 families received meal packages. But fewer volunteers will gather on Tuesday morning to put the packages together. About 25 people will work on the packages to remain socially distant compared to more than 30 people — including the Framingham Flyers Boys Hockey Team — who volunteered in 2019.

Last year's event took place at Wilson Elementary School, but this year families will line up in cars to receive their meal kits. Volunteers will load the groceries directly into the cars to maintain social distance.
