FRAMINGHAM, MA — The City of Framingham is seeking applicants for the 7-member Veterans Council.
The Veterans Council addresses current issues related to Veterans memorials, the review & development of policies pertaining to Veterans, along with future projects and plans to promote Framingham and its Veterans.

Members of the Council advise the Veterans Service Officer and provide feedback to the Mayor on Veterans issues.
The Council fosters an understanding and appreciation within the City of the achievements, contributions, and sacrifices Veterans have made to the community.

Council members are encouraged to participate in the City’s Veterans events, including but not limited to Memorial Day, Purple Heart Day, and Veterans Day.
The Mayor appoints all members of the Veterans Council. The City Council has 30 days to approve or reject the Mayor’s nominations to the Council.
The deadline to apply for the seat on the Veterans Council is Friday, December 15, 2023.
