FRAMINGHAM, MA — You're never going to use that decade old empty can of Raid.

So why not get rid of it? The Framingham Department of Public Works in July will hold a hazardous waste drop-off event, where you can dump nasty items like rat poison, oil paint and old aerosol cans.

The event is free for all residents, but you will have to show proof of residency. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 31 at the DPW operations center, 100 Western Ave.
