Framingham's Gloria Pascual To Hold Education Gala

The gala will celebrate the importance of educational programming.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — What started as a birthday party for Gloria Pascual, Vice Chair to the Framingham School Committee, blossomed into the first annual Gala for Education in Framingham. Pascual is hosting the gala to raise money for the honoree, non-profit organization, Discovering Hidden Gems. The gala will celebrate the importance of educational programming and shine a positive light on the youth in the Framingham. The event will be held at 8 p.m. on Saturday April 13, at The Framingham Fraternal Eagles at 55 Park St.

Pascual said while she was planning her 40th birthday she had started asking people to donate to Discovering Hidden Gems instead of giving gifts— this brought corporate sponsors and gave Pascual the idea for the gala. The goal of the gala is to raise over $10,000 to support educational programs for the youth in the city offered through non-profits like honoree, Discovering Hidden Gems.

Pascual said she plans on making the gala an annual event and honoring a local non-profit each year.
