'Friends'-Themed Coffeehouse Opens In Boston: MA Food Week

MASSACHUSETTS — Welcome to Patch's weekly round up of food and restaurant news in Massachusetts, where we review openings, closings and more in the state's dining scene.

Though the sitcom "Friends" is based in New York City, Bostonians can get a little taste of Central Perk's finest brew on Newbury Street when the coffeehouse of the same name opened this week.

The sitcom-themed coffeehouse opened on Tuesday at 205 Newbury Street with hours daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

On opening day, Central Perk Coffeehouse will distribute the Chandler Bing "Can I Interest You in a Sarcastic Comment" sleeve exclusively for the entire day, in honor of recently deceased actor and cast member Matthew Perry.
