Overnight Detour on Route 135

FRAMINGHAM – There will be a detour on Route 135 in the City of Framingham from Thursday night, September 14 into Friday morning, September 15. The detour will continue next week Sept 18-21, as well.

As part of the Cedar Street neighborhood water main replacement, the tie-in to Waverley Street (Route 135) will take place at night.

Work is expected to begin this Thursday night from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

An excavation crew will be working at the intersection of Mellen Street and a saw-cutting crew will be working at the intersection of Cedar Street.

Route 135 will be detoured from Winthrop Street to Concord/Hollis Street (Route 126) using Hollis to Winthrop Street.

Emergency vehicles will be able to pass through during this night shift.

Work will continue into next week, starting Monday night, September 18 through Thursday, September 21 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

All of this work will be at the intersection of Cedar Street.

Waverley Street (Route 135) will be detoured from Mellen Street to Route 126.

The detour will be Mellen to Winthrop to Hollis.

Waverley Street (Route 135) will be impassable at the intersection of Cedar Street on Monday night during working hours.
