PHOTOS: 27th Annual Salute To Framingham

The sold-out event honored distinguished guests and dozens of teachers and students who've positively impacted the community.

FRAMINGHAM, MA- The Sheraton Framingham Hotel was packed to the brim with guests excited to celebrate the honorees of the 27th Annual Salute to Framingham.

The sold-out event drew a crowd of 600 people, all gathered to honor community members who positively impact the youth of Framingham. This year's honorees were Kathy Hauck and Cathy & David Miles.

The Jim O'Connor Community Service Award was presented to Hoops and Homework, an after-school and summer program that offers academic and enrichment services to children and youth in some of Framingham’s poorest neighborhoods.

Arthur "Chip" DelPrete was honored with the "We Are Grateful" recognition after serving the Framingham School District for 36 years and serving as the director of the Thayer campus for the past eight years.

Dozens of teachers were given the "You Are Special" recognition for their work in the schools and students were recognized as well for work in and out of the classroom.
