UPDATE: Fatal Crash on Badger Road; 3 Other Framingham State Students Injured

State and Framingham Police reporting a serious car crash at 3 Badger Rd. at 2:19 a.m., with requests for more than one ambulance and a Medflight helicopter for 5 females in car.

Framingham State University, in a release, said Ashley M. Donahue, 20, of Bridgewater was killed in a car crash this morning.

At 2:19 a.m. reported a serious single car crash at 3 Badger Rd. Scanner reports had requests for multiple ambulances and a Medflight helicopter.

For those unfamiliar with the area, it is near the intersection of Salem End, Parker and Badger roads. The car was located deep into the woods, according to a scanner report.

Framingham Police said the female driver was taken via Medflight to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious injuries.

"A rear female passenger was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other passengers were injured and were transported to Metrowest hospital. All occupants are believed to be Framingham State University students," said Framingham Police Lt. Ron Brandolini in a press release.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ashley’s family, friends and fellow students, as well as the family and friends of the other students involved,” Framingham State President Timothy J. Flanagan said in a press release this morning. “Framingham State is a small, close-knit community. Every one of us, whether student, faculty or staff, feels this loss.”

Donahue lived on campus in Linsley Hall. The university has arranged counseling services for students and employees. Framingham State counselors will be on campus throughout the weekend.

The crash is under investigation by Framingham police and the State Police reconstruction unit.
