Residential Development In Framingham Means Sewer Expansion
City officials will hold a meeting Thursday over a project to increase the size of a pumping station near Callahan State Park.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham officials will host a public meeting on Thursday to cover details of an upgrade in sewer infrastructure connected to a large residential development underway along Millwood Street.
The developer will pay for the upgrade of the Blackberry Lane sewer pumping station. The project will mean construction and road closures just south of a main entrance to Callahan State Park.
"The Blackberry Pump Station improvements project includes installation of a new pump system, new valve chamber and wet well structures, electrical upgrades, abandonment of the existing dry well, temporary relocation of approximately 60 feet of water main, relocation of approximately 300 feet of drainage and pavement restoration of affected areas," Framingham said in a recent bulletin.
