Storm Henri: Framingham Offering Sandbags To Residents
Prepare for potential flooding during storm Henri with free sandbags.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — If you're stocking up on supplies before Henri hits Massachusetts on Sunday afternoon, you can add sandbags to your list.
The Framingham Public Works Department will be handing out free sandbags on Saturday until 3 p.m. at the DPW Operations Center, 100 Western Ave. Although Framingham isn't under a flood watch, Henri could bring substantial rainfall between Sunday and Tuesday.
The latest National Weather Service forecast shows the Framingham area could get up to 1-1/2 inches of rain over the next 72 hours. That comes on top of the soaking brought by Fred on Thursday.
