Write in Adam Freudberg for Framingham City Councilor At Large

We need game-changing new ideas and energy on the City Council. Adam Freudberg is a proven, capable leader. Switch him to the City Council!

The election is only days away on Tuesday, November 7th, and we have just 3 contested races for City Council. I have already argued why John Stefanini needs to be retired in District 8, as he has no progress to show on key problems in the city, including:

1. Chronically late school buses.

2. Lack of access to pre-K for the majority of our 4-year-olds.

3. City Council plan to disrupt a competent Framingham Public Schools administration.

4. No progress in 2 years on new solar installations.

5. Endless delays on supporting curbside composting

6. Huge water bills.

7. City property tax revenue stream which is falling way behind even normal 2% inflation.

8. Down-graded bond rating for the city.

9. Crumbling roads.

10. Growing number of unfilled staff positions on both city (80) and school side (150).

Most of these problems have been caused by financial mismanagement by the City Council Finance Subcommittee helmed by King & Cannon and supported strongly by Stefanini. Further exacerbating these problems is the fact that these Councilors have a comprehensive lack of understanding of the school system, especially its rapidly changing demographic profile, and have no enthusiasm for climate change action.

This group roars like a lion on taxing below inflation levels, which has severely eroded city buying power, but bleats like a lamb on every other issue. They cannot guide us anywhere we need to go over the next 2-4 years. I have already made the suggestion that we need to bring Adam Freudberg onto the City Council playing field. See:

but there I framed the action as a District 4 write in effort. Since then, the idea of how to get one of our best young talents into the effort to navigate Framingham in the right direction has developed further.

My suggestion now, which seems very appealing and which engages every voter in the community, is to write in Adam Freudberg for At Large Councilor. Thus far, as a voter, I have received nothing from George King, but I did get a large flyer from Janet Leombruno today and as expected, none of the 10 problems listed above were mentioned or addressed.

If, as a voter, you want action on any of the 10 problems above, write in Adam Freudberg for At Large Councilor and fill in his oval on the ballot.

In recent weeks, only Adam has been advocating for raising school bus driver pay. He is also the only elected official I know who is advocating for putting solar panels on Farley's new roof. We also have just one Black Earth Composting pilot operating in the entire city. Guess where that is? At Dunning Elementary School, where Adam's children go and where he has worked to get this pilot off the ground.

If you want action, write in Adam Freudberg for At Large Councilor on your ballot on Tuesday, November 7.

If you want Framingham to start heading in the right direction, write in Adam Freudberg for At Large Councilor on your ballot on Tuesday, November 7. Here is what that would look like for a District 6 ballot. Yours will be look similar. Note that by specific request from Adam, I have not included his address on the ballot, although that is customary.
