Former Grafton 911 Dispatcher Joins Police Department As Officer

GRAFTON, MA — A former Grafton 911 dispatcher has completed police academy training and is beginning the next stage of his career with the town.

Officer Tanner Crue graduated Friday from the 22-week 6th Municipal Police Training Committee Holyoke Recruit Officer Course. He will now complete a 14-week field training program under the supervision of the Grafton Police Department's certified field training staff.

Crue began working for the Grafton Police Department as a 911 dispatcher. The department said his professionalism, work ethic and dedication made him a strong candidate for a sworn position.

The field training program will allow Crue to apply his academy instruction while working alongside experienced officers in Grafton.

"We are proud to welcome Officer Crue into this next chapter of his career," the department said in its announcement.
