NORTH GRAFTON, MA —A pair of foxes in North Grafton weren't sly enough to escape a camera in one resident's backyard. Video of the two foxes prancing through the yard was caught just after sunset one evening.

The video, as seen on the Neighbors app, was taken on Jan. 12 around 5:30 p.m. The home is on High Point Drive, right next to the Mass Pike. You can see the lights from cars zooming past in the distance on the highway. The lights and sounds don't seem to bother the two red foxes.

Scampering through the yard, the pair seemed intent on a destination. Foxes breed mid-January to late February and begin to prepare dens during this time. Foxes have always been a common sight in the state — they are the most widespread carnivore species in the world ranging across the entire Northern Hemisphere.

Foxes are omnivorous and opportunistic feeders, meaning they'll snack on just about anything they can get their paws on. This makes living near humans in the suburbs easy since all they need is a source of food, water and shelter. While they look and are related to dogs, it's important to remember not to feed or pet them, it can cause foxes to act tame and over time, may lead to bold behavior.
